Terry Hanck Band
Chicago-based Terry Hanck is an R&B roadhouse warrior, a 30-year veteran who honed his singing and saxophone chops during a decade-long stint with the Elvin Bishop group. Hanck quickly established a serious reputation for himself, thanks to a combination of great musical chops and an easy-going rapport with the crowd that eased the transition to fronting his own band. Hes played all over the world and shared stages with the likes of Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, Steve Miller, Robert Cray, Dr. John and The Grateful Dead. Hanck plays a maximum dose of all-killer, nofiller American music that spans the gamut from Kansas City jump and West Coast funk to the kind of gumbo they cook hot n sweet in New Orleans. If youre serious about partying then book some space on the dance floor, cause this guys going to be explosive. Terry Hanck is a fine vocalist, an amazing showman, and my favorite sax player. -Elvin Bishop
