Event Description
This month's mentor is composer and pianist Jan Randall, currently music director for CBC's weekly comedy series "The Irrelevant Show." He is a Second City alumni and has worked with Mike Myers, Catherine O'Hara, Bob Newhart, and many others. He is also a veteran bluesman and has been a sideman for Otis Rush, Sam Lay, Bo Diddley, and Amos Garrett.
Club Nights are held monthly to give singers and instrumentalists, of all experience levels, an opportunity to perform with our house band and learn more about a particular artist, composer or genre. All ages are welcome. Sign up early to avoid disappointment! Please email the selection(s) (max 2) you would like to perform to ujamsevents@gmail.com. Any questions, just ask. Please bring 3 copies of each of your lead sheets for the band.
NOTE: We need lots of audience energy too...bring family and friends. If you haven't been before, now's the time to come and enjoy a great evening!! U-JAM memberships are available at the door.
If you would like to sit in with the band or participate as a vocalist, please sign up at the U-JAM website (www.u-jam.ca).
