Quartom’s members perform an a cappella repertoire that revisits the world of classical music and includes popular music from Brassens to the Beatles, from Leclerc to Beau Dommage.
These four charismatic singers offer insightful interpretations; their obvious mutual affection, and contagious good humour have charmed audiences throughout Quebec and Canada, as well as Europe.
Quartom has two albums to their credit. The self-titled debut album, released in 2013, features selections from their mainstage show THE GOOD NEWS ACCORDING TO QUARTOM. Their second album, LE NOËL DE QUARTOM (A QUARTOM CHRISTMAS) appeared in 2014 and was praised by reviewers for its flawless interpretation as well as the originality of repertoire and arrangements. Their latest album ‘QUARTOM - ACTE III’ will be released October 14th, 2016.
The 100 year old sanctuary of Oak Bay United recently underwent extensive renovations and offers a vibrant acoustic and visual experience for both performers and audiences alike. With a seating capacity of 230, it is one of the most intimate spaces of the larger performance venues in Victoria.
Quartom highlights:
Quartom recently joined their voices to those of over thirty other artists including Lisa Leblanc, Yann Perreau and Alexandre Désilets, for a concert called: Pour l’amour de RadioCanada/For the Love of CBC. The concert at the National Arts Centre Theatre in Ottawa, was organized to show support for Radio-Canada/CBC. This “bilingual happening” was organised by the citizens’ group Radio-Canada, j’y tiens! /CBC I Care! with the support of the Canadian Media Guild. It was an unforgettable evening during which the members of Quartom had the chance to meet great artists while standing up for a cause they deeply believe in!
