Have you ever thought, "Why can't I go to my local bar not ONLY to drink beer, but also to sketch (or shyly glance at) modern nudes in various poses...whilst listening to dramatic classical music by the greats?"
If you have thought this, good. But it's going to happen in the last place you ever thought it would...The Astoria at
769 E. Hastings.
It's like a mixture of the going to the symphony + the Number 5 Orange. Just kidding. It's nothing like that.
3+ MODELS
BYOSS (Bring your own sketching shit). Hardbacked sketchbooks recommended, in case table space becomes limited.
Starts at 9:00 sharp, sketching/painting til 11:30pm
Suggested donation $3-8.
All $ goes to the door person and models.
If you'd like to volunteer to model, just sign up at the event and have your 10 minutes of fame. Anyone can model the night of if they put their name in at the bar! Those who would like to be paid models can send an email to nikkinever@gmail.com. Pay depends on $ made at the door and paid models are asked to do 3 ten minute poses.
