Event Description
Symphony For Smiles
Sunday, October 25 at 2:30 pm
Chan Shun Concert Hall
Presented by Health for Humanity
Maestro Bramwell Tovey conducts the orchestra in this concert which includes Mozart's Concerto for Two Pianos featuring acclaimed Canadian pianists (and cousins) Jon Kimura Parker and Ian Parker.
Proceeds from this unique fundraising concert will benefit Health for Humanity - a locally-based, volunteer-run organization working to expand health promotion and disease prevention in developing nations.
All of the musicians involved in this concert - including almost the entire membership of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (under the banner "Notes of Compassion"), the featured pianists and conductor - chose to donate their time and talent for the benefit of Health for Humanity since 100% of the money raised will go directly to expanding surgical missions and helping people who would otherwise have no access to health care.
A limited number of VIP tickets are available and include: premium seating, free parking, a champagne and appetizer reception prior to the event, plus an opportunity to win an exciting draw prize. Tax receipt available.
