About

The Tamarlanes

circa 1964 - circa 1967
Jim McGill, Barry Warden, Jack Wilander, & Bob Warden (About 1966-1967)
"From pnwbands.com"
The band was formed by Bob and Barry around 1964 or 1965. Glen Mitchel played bass, Barry, rhythm, Bob , lead , Jack, drums. Glen left to attend at UBC, then I joined as rhythm guitar, and Barry switched to bass. We played mostly Beatles, and other 60’s rock band songs. We all sang, and had strong harmonies. We played around Comox, Courtenay, Canadian Forces Base Comox, and surrounding area. We were quite popular on the local scene in 1965 and 1966. We did a brief stint in Vancouver, but it did not go well.
I left the band to attend university, and the others returned to Comox. At that point Dave Bouchier and the Rowden brothers teamed up with the Warden brothers, to form The Look.
